Choose candle scents room by room
A fragrance that works in a large reception room can overwhelm a small bedroom. Treat scent like lighting: adjust its intensity, direction and duration to the space.

Bedroom
Use warm vanilla, soft lavender or white musk in moderate periods. Place the candle on a stable surface away from bedding and extinguish it before sleep.
Living and reception rooms
Rose water, amber, florals and musk can support a polished atmosphere. Start before guests arrive, then avoid competing with strong food or flower scents.
Entry
A clean floral or signature blend can create a first impression, but the candle should never obstruct movement or sit under a strong air-conditioning stream.
Dining table
Keep fragrance subtle so it does not interfere with taste. Decorative unlit candles may be the better choice during food service.
Balcony and terrace
Bright citrus-green notes feel natural outdoors. Wind disperses fragrance quickly, so prioritize stable placement and flame safety over trying to force greater intensity.
